OGOGO - Music Beyond 9 Show - Program Notes

Rubber Angel

While I was dreaming, the skull of an angel, while falling asleep, turtled to my lap. I put it back; I mean I placed it back on my shoulder; even my shoulder got numb under that heavy load. I looked around and saw in front of me the number of unknown me skulls that moved in rhythm with music.

Sleeping Stereorail

Yes, dodecaphonic music gave us infinite choice of forms and sounds, which was impossible in tonal music. Masters of atonal music, indeed, enriched the world of art. Even poorest melody became soaked in light but they worked on it too hard and light started to fade while whispering beautiful boring melody.

Little Girl-world

I wrote her portrait, portrait of Nina (hope I remember her name). And I felt so tired, like that dying pianist. Flies slowly strolled across her face.

Slip Up On My Cheeky Eyeball

Websites are tempting me with flesh – girls, boobs, booties, - and my eyeballs are getting out of sync. John Adams on the beach slowly picking up a seashell, and the bright shine of it is stronger than material imagination of minimalists, which hurts the body and shakes the soul.

Strange And Perfect

Beautiful is beautiful again and that’s (strangely enough) we have to thank free jazz for the persistent insistence against beauty.

Generate A French Horn

“Desire of satisfaction is the natural desire of human being. But reality doesn’t want to obey and resists. Brain is tired of constant offense and starts to turn to brutal defense, taking charge of our lives and rewarding all that junk – polite behavior and PG-13 language. It’s time to end to praise the hard work and all that jazz, and it’s time to spit that bunch of ideals, otherwise they will take us to the extreme end, I mean to the overindulgence and, maybe, to the crime of sexual nature.”

This OGOGO edition consists of:

igOr – guitar
Dr. Rodney Oakes – MIDI trombone
Dustin Johnston - bass
Sherman Pascoe – dobro
NiCoLe DaViaU , PeGGy FoSTeR,
JoHN CaRTwRiGHT – percussion

Is that a sparkler in your eyeball,
or are you just pretty?
